This organization is the successor to PEACE Mexico, it is directed by Ceci Paredes, and centers its efforts in the Punta de Mita and Higuera Blanca areas of the Bay of Banderas (Puerto Vallarta). They focus on three primary areas: Community Pride, Education, and Health & Lifestyle. Ceci Paredes ceci@peacepuntademita.org
This organization is the successor to PEACE Mexico's Ayuda los Animales, it is directed by Gretchen DeWitt, and centers its efforts primarily in the Puerto Vallarta area to offer free mobile spay and nueter clinics forty-six weeks each year, Wednesday through Saturday. This organization is headed by Edd Bissell, and has as its core mission to mentor students of San Quintin, a small village of 34 homes and 144 people, sited in the Sierra Madre mountains between Puerto Vallarta and Sayulita. The village is composed primarily of three ejido (native) families: Lara, Corona, and Romero. Until 2007, no child had ever gone past the sixth grade. Now in 2013, there is one student in college, three in high school, one in special education, and eleven in secondary school. U.S.A. Tax Donations to Support: CANADIAN CHILDREN'S SHELTER OF HOPE FOUNDATION and PASITOS DE LUZ
USA Tax Deduction
PEACE offers USA tax-deductible donations on behalf of Canadian Children's Shelter of Hope Foundation to further their support of Pasitos De Luz, a free daycare for children suffering from developmental disorders such as Down syndrome and Cerebral Palsy.
Pasitos was initially started in 1999 by Yolanda Sanchez; providing service to over 80 children, this nonprofit offers free daycare, meals and rehabilitation services in order to allow the children's parents to work. Currently located in Pitillal, Pasitos has been given property free in Nuevo Vallarta to build a new facility: Casa Connor. The only government funds received are for a free breakfast program.
